Matthew 5:13-16  “You are the salt of the earth; qbut if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it give light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, tthat they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

This ministry is faith-based and designed for singles that want to fulfill God’s will and purpose in our live.

The goal of this ministry is to help singles in uncovering God’s purpose despite circumstances.  S.A.L.T. will attempt to provide the necessary tools to reveal God’s purpose in the lives of single adults’ accordance with Emmanuel’s House values, vision and mission statements.

S.A.L.T. will address the spiritual, emotional and social needs through ministry, biblical reference, prayer, outreach, personal examples, testimonies, life planning skills and learning to enjoy life in Christ. Evangelism

II Timothy 4:5 (NASB) But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

In House Telephone Evangelism Ministry: “In House Evangelism” means that the individual has been evangelized; now additional support is needed. This is done through a series of telephone follow-up calls, aiding in the growth of their new position in Christ Jesus.  This ministry’s primary goal is to Encourage, Equip and Empower, all individuals in their decision to trust Christ, to learn how to sustain their position in Him.  Prayer is an essential part of this support ministry as this team prays with and for those we serve.

Door-to-Door Follow-Up Ministry:  Sometimes a telephone follow-up call is not enough.  This team of workers will help take it to the next level of support, with a home follow-up visit.  The goal is to work together with In-House Telephone Evangelism Ministry, to stabilize the new and/or recommitted believers.  Resource materials, foundational Bible study and understanding, and prayer have a vital role with this team.

Outreach Evangelism Ministry: “Sent to Openly Proclaim” the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  These teams of mission-minded men and women, filled with compassion, are ministering to those where hope has been lost.  Taking it to the streets is exactly what they do, reaching into the community corners, streets, delivering His message of the gospel.  They provide tracts, Bibles, prayer, give encouragement, and other resources while offering Christ as an alternative to every situation.  This team also provides “Street Services”, community outreach, and helps to support community block parties.  Wherever the opportunity presents itself, you will find this dedicated team of workers communicating the love of God with thew Gospel of Christ.

Nursing Home Ministry Extending the love of Jesus to the brokenhearted and restoring hope to those who feel hopeless. This team of compassionate women go into various nursing homes in the Philadelphia and surrounding counties, extending the Hand of God through songs/worship, His Word, and His fellowship, while offering companionship, and a source of strength and hope to many of our elderly that have been forgotten, betrayed, abandoned and are sick.

Prison Ministry: men’s prison/and women’s prison):  This team of devoted men and women are prepared like the Military; committed, dedicated and ready to go and take the love of God and the Message of the Gospel into the men’s and women’s facilities, to minister to those incarcerated in the prison system.  English/Bilingual Bibles and tracts, songs, Scripture, “Daily Bread” booklets, and prayer are the vital tools used by this team.

Foreign Missions

The ministry also provides teaching materials, while planting schools and intensifying cultures for Christ. Their goal of the Ministry is to propagate the Gospel throughout the world.

DEACON’S MINISTRY

“In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.” I Timothy 3:8-10

The purpose of the Deacon’s Ministry is to assist Pastor Ava McKee in caring for the members. We do so by providing membership care in two ways:

1) Encouragement and Spiritual Support

2) Critical Care Support – during times of being sick and shut in, and times of lack of food or clothing.

 Deacons, Deaconesses, Ushers, and Greeters

The usher/greeter ministry is a “first impression ministry”.  We greet you at the door on Sunday mornings when you enter the Sanctuary.  We are the welcoming committee, we are servants, and we are the first people you see when you come in.  We help to maintain order, direct people to their seats and act as traffic controllers when necessary.  The job of a Deacon/Deaconess, usher, or greeter is to be able to comfort the congregation when necessary and maintain their dignity while they are worshiping and enjoying the service.  The greeters help to set the tone when the congregation is entering into the service, as they are greeting the people and handing out the bulletins.

Altar Care Workers:  Provides the immediate support needed for those who have come to the Lord during or after services.  This group of workers support the “New Believers” and/or “Recommitted Individuals”, with the foundational understanding of what has recently occurred through the “Gift of Salvation”.  Bibles and support materials are given to help sustain and navigate the new believer through the initial stages of their salvation. This is their initial stage of follow up.

Hospitality

The Hospitality team works when there are special events for Emmanuel’s House of Worship. Along with the ushers and greeters, the Hospitality team sets the tone of the event – they aim to accommodate.

Motivated by the Holy Spirit, the ministry consists of singers and musicians who are tasked with inviting the presence of The Lord to fill our space of worship.  The music Ministry is supported by various groups that serve during our worship services.
